EARLY DAYS

FASHION DESIGN

A multicultural childhood influenced by fashion

Born in Madrid, his childhood was spent between Spain and Germany. He inherited from his father a passion for fashion, as well as the dedication and the effort he pours into each creation, which helped him develop his own personal style. His professional training took place in Italy and the United States. He graduated in Design from the Marangoni Institute, in Milan, and he also took postgraduate courses at the prestigious Domus Academy. He then moved to New York to work for three years with the famous designer Oscar De la Renta.

There, he collaborated in the design of de la Renta’s collections and organized the first four shows of the well-known Latin American designer in Paris.

His return from New York to Madrid happened with a clear objective in mind: to pour his creative energy into creating his own haute couture workshop. His successful career in the world of fashion began then, surprising the audience with his first show at the Cibeles Catwalk (Madrid), and becoming a key figure until his retirement from the world of fashion.

Expansion in fashion and broadening
of the Larrainzar brand

The year 1996 is marked by his first commercial opening. He opened his boutique in the Madrid neighborhood of Salamanca, recognized as Madrid’s center of haute couture fashion. The firm continues to grow and, in 2002, the Pasarela Javier Larrainzar boutique opened to the public in the Castellana El Corte Ingles Center. He also participated in international catwalks in locations such as Washington (USA), Lisbon and Tel Aviv.

Thanks to his elegant and particular vision of fashion and his entrepreneurial capacity, the Javier Larrainzar brand is positioned today at the top of Spanish haute couture. Its expansion continued in 2008, with the launch of Larrainzar Kids, a collection of children’s pajamas that was sold in El Corte Ingles stores.

CURRENTLY

INTERIOR DESIGN

From fashion pieces to interior design projects

Javier Larrainzar’s first steps in the world of interior design began in 2002, collaborating with Tomas Alia on the designs of his own boutiques for El Corte Ingles. Around that time, he also began to collaborate in the design of his own homes with Lorenzo Castillo. It can be said that they were both his teachers in the world of interior design.

In 2006, he developed a furniture collection with Javier Duarte, but it was in 2012 when he decided to move to Marbella to create his Javier Larrainzar CASA Interior Design Studio. Once his Studio is created, he carries out projects such as the Real Club Nautico de Marbella, including its Beach Club, the Globalitas Law Firm in Marbella, the Les Cubes Restaurant in Marbella, or the Marbella home of the well-known chef Dani García. He is currently fully dedicated to “turnkey” project management for exclusive projects in the best residential areas of Marbella and Cadiz, such as La Zagaleta, Nueva Andalucia, Nagueles and Sotogrande. Javier Larrainzar CASA has currently become a reference brand in the industry.
